Fedora Project Introducing Contributor Stories

Fedora Launches “Contributor Stories” to Celebrate Community Members

The Fedora Project community has introduced a new initiative called Contributor Stories, designed to recognize and celebrate the people who make Fedora what it is.

The idea behind Contributor Stories is simple yet meaningful: every contributor can share a personal experience or a memorable moment with another Fedora contributor. These stories — whether inspiring, amusing, or simply heartfelt — showcase the collaborative spirit shaped by Fedora’s Four FoundationsFreedom, Friends, Features, and First.

Community members are encouraged to submit their stories through the Pagure Contributor Stories page by opening a new issue and filling out the provided template. During Fedora Appreciation Week, held annually in November, selected stories will be featured on the Fedora Community Blog and presented at events such as Flock.

According to the organizers, this initiative helps strengthen the Fedora community by encouraging members to express gratitude and share appreciation. It aims to highlight the people behind the project — those whose dedication and teamwork continue to push open source forward.
