We recently discussed the best Linux games on Steam, but the best doesn’t necessarily mean free. On the contrary, most of them were paid. So, we thought about making a separate list of the best free games for Linux that you can play without spending a penny.
Top free Linux games for everyone.
Before we see the list of the best free games for Linux, let me tell you about the Humble Bundle. This is an amazing site that makes massive offers for games and books. The best part is that some of the proceeds from the sale go to various open source projects and charities. You can visit their storeto check out the current offers. If your budget allows, you can also sign up for their monthly planto get premium games for free and additional discounts.
Now that you know about the amazing Humble Bundle resource, let’s take a look at free games for Linux. Only, please take note, this is a top, not a rating, and all the games listed below are very worthy.
1. Dota 2
Dota 2 – one of the most popular MOBA games is also available for Linux users. Well, I’m not a fan of this game, but if you like multiplayer strategy games, this one is worth installing. Dota 2 offers one of the best growth opportunities in esports for aspiring gamers.
