Play Space Invaders, old school game in Linux terminal

Before you play Space Invaders, you must first install it using terminal by simply entering these commands (note that you must have the universe repository enabled):

$ sudo yum install ninvaders #on CentOS/RHEL 
$ sudo dnf install ninvaders #on Fedora 22+
$ sudo apt-get install ninvaders #on Debian/Ubuntu
: nInvaders #on RHEL 6

After installation the game can be played with the command:

$ ninvaders

When you start you will see the interface like the picture below. Press the Spacebar to start the game.

Use the Left and Right arrows for movement of a warship. Shoot using the Space key. From the descending ships can just Dodge or hide behind the big stationary units (green). Task – to kill all the aliens.
