Open Sonic-an analog of Super Sonic under Linux

SuperSonic game is one of the most popular games on video game consoles, just a classic of the genre! Probably because the enthusiasts decided to create an open and free version based on this game called Open Sonic.

Open Sonic — Forest

Unlike the original Super Sonic, the game has a special cooperative mode in which you need to use several characters at the same time to complete the levels. The levels are more voluminous and complex, it’s not just “run and jump”, you need to use different characters to open the way through various traps and puzzles.

Open Sonic — Sonic Heroes

The graphics and sound in the game are made in 16-bit style, very similar to the original Segovian, immersion in the 90s is complete! In order not to spoil the impression, it is better to play in the window, because the graphics are not very beautiful at full screen at high resolution.

Open Sonic — Sonic Run

The game is installed from the Ubuntu repository using the Application Center (search for the word opensonic). Or from the command line by running the command:

sudo apt-get install opensonic

There is also a PPA repository: ppa:szymonw/ppa (ppa connection)

For other distributions. as well as for the Windows version of the game OpenSonic can be downloaded on the official website: http://opensnc.sourceforge.net/
