Turtl — easy Python / GTK GUI application for secure storage of various data.
Turtl to work requires creating an account and logging into the client specified during registration the password is used to generate a cryptographic key. The key is used to encrypt the user data before storing it on the cloud server.
Turtl allows you to save simple text notes and notes with Markdown-formatting, passwords, and bookmarks, photos and files in any format. For greater security, the password and the encryption key is not stored, on the cloud server are sent only encrypted data.
Client Turtl has a simple user interface, not overloaded with controls and menus. All the added records, you can easily organize, sort, sections and directories to place markers (tags), search is also supported on the submitted data.
Turtl is suitable for both personal and professional projects, the app was created under the slogan “Privacy should be simple“, you can import and export notes in a JSONfile (turtl-backup.json).
Turtl integrates in the notification area (system tray), log of events, in the Markdown editor, there is a brief information on the markup, management focused on the use of the mouse.
