Not Pacman is an interesting 2D-game based on the classic game Pac-Man.
Pac-Man (Pacman) — a computer game in the genre of arcade games that was first released in 1979 , the year in Japan. At that time, the style of play was completely new, not involving violence, so the game was marketed as for both boys and girls. The game screen is a maze, the hallways are filled with points, the player controlling Pacman must “eat” all the dots in the corridors of the maze, avoiding meeting with ghosts constantly chasing the hero.
At the beginning of each level bring are not available in the Parkman room in the middle of the level, from which they soon released. When you touch the ghosts to the Pacman , he loses one “life“, if there is no stock of “lives” the game ends. After “eating” all points starts a new level, raising the level only changes the difficulty of the game, the architecture of the maze remains the same.
Not Pacman has a lot in common with the classic version of Pacman, the maze configuration is similar to the arcade version of the game, but the gameplay is completely different. The player will control the movement of PAC-man turning the entire playing field in different directions, rolling PAC-man under its own “weight“. The management game is quite unusual, for the development must obtain a specific skill.
Turning the playing field to the right, pacman is rolling right down the aisle of the maze and “eat” the dots, ghosts move through the maze similarly. The objective of the game remains the same, with the least possible time,”to eat” all the dots in the maze and avoid getting caught by the ghosts. The rating system also changed, optimized for more precise fixation of the gaming events.
Not Pacman supports resizing of the game window, move PAC-man absolutely realistic, thanks to the use of the game engine LÖVE (framework LÖVE2D), meaning sound, for control you can use the mouse, touchpad, keyboard or joystick. Settings and game results are stored in a configuration file (in the directory ~/.local/share/love/not_pacman/).
