freesweep — console C (si) / Ncurses (Curses) implementation of the game Minesweeper (minesweeper style).
Minesweeper (Minesweeper) — puzzle game with flat or three-dimensional game field is divided into adjacent cells (squares, hexagons, cubes, etc.), some of which are “mined“. The aim of the game is to uncover all cells not containing mines, opening the cell with a mine, the player loses.
Gameplay consists of opening the cells, trying not to open the box with mine. After opening the cells without mines it appears a number showing how many cells next to the open “bomb“. Using these figures, the player can try to calculate the location min.
Opening the cell with a mine, the player loses, the mines are placed after the first move, so to lose at the first move is impossible. The player wins by opening all “not bugged” cell. Success in the game depends heavily on the location of mines, under certain constellations of mines impossible to win.
freesweep allows you to guess the location of mines based on the numbers of open cells and inferred hints. The size of the playing field (a maximum of 1024 x 1024) and other parameters are set when you first start the game, change the settings in the configuration file (~/.sweeprc), saved game history (~/.sweeptimes).
