FocusWriter — unusual free text editor that is set to full screen and shows only the text that you write. FocusWriter is positioned as an editor, with which you concentrate on writing and nothing else you should not distract.
When you launch FocusWriter, the program takes place entirely on the entire screen and you see the only window for typing and nothing more. If you hover your mouse cursor to the top, it will unfold a menu and control panel editor. Similarly, if you hover down, you will see a status bar and tabs with opened files.
FocusWriter does not have the capabilities for text formatting. Supported only the most basic functions such as bold, underline, text alignment. To use the functions formatting text in menu Format select Make Rich Text.
The program supports various themes. You can set the background image editor, size and color of fonts.
Supports spell check, AutoSave text, restore cursor position when opening the last file tab.
From FocusWriter is another interesting feature. You can set a special parameter Daily Goal, which you can specify either the number of characters (or minutes) that you want to write (to spend) in one day. It’s like a motivating function. When you write a text, FocusWriter in the status bar (at the bottom) says the percentage of the completed goals. For example, you set a goal Daily Goal is 2000 characters, wrote 1000 characters, FocusWriter is already showing that you have completed 50% of the work. Similarly, you can specify the number of minutes.
Yet FocusWriter has a timer function. You can set the timer for any time or at specified interval. When a timer is triggered, the buzzer sounds and a pop-up message.
FocusWriter allows you to save the document either as plain text (plain-text) without any formatting or RTF format support formatting.
