ASCII Pacman is a small ASCII / Curses console variation of the classic game Pac-Man.

Pac-Man — a computer game in the genre of arcade games that was first released in 1979 , the year in Japan. At that time, the style of play was completely new, not involving violence, so the game was marketed as for both boys and girls. The game screen is a maze, the hallways are filled with points, the player controlling Pacman must “eat” all the dots in the corridors of the maze, avoiding meeting with ghosts constantly chasing the hero. At the beginning of each level bring are not available in the Parkman room in the middle of the level, from which they soon released.

ASCII Pacman is completely similar to the original version of the game, when you touch the cast to Pacman, he loses one “life” (in the beginning of the game you are given three lives), if there is no stock of “lives” the game ends. After “eating” all points starts a new level, raising the level only changes the difficulty of the game, the architecture of the maze remains the same, to control using a keyboard.
