Wemed is a specialized C++ / GTK (WebKit) graphical application to view, create and edit documents in the format of MIME.

MIME (Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions) — multi-purpose mail extension Internet standard that describes a method of transferring e-mail executable, graphics, multimedia and multimodal data. In some email systems have gateways that provide MIME translation.

A typical use of MIME is transfer digital images, audio, simple, and structured text documents. The use of MIME is necessary to when the shipment was not made any transformations of the data.

Also, MIME allows you to mark a letter on parts of various types so that recipient (email client) to automatically identify the purpose of each part of the letter. In the absence of a MIME-compatible mail client, and access to MIME gateway , you can use applications able to interpret MIME mails stored in the file.

Wemed is partly customizable user interface, providing the ability to view, edit and create documents in the format of MIME. It supports simple email messages (*.eml files) and MIME HTML archives (*.mht or *.mhtml files).

Wemed when creating or editing MIME documents supports the use of styles (bold, italic, underline and strikethrough), there is a choice of font and size, inserting and saving images (in any format).
