MiKTeX (mick-tech) — a project to unite applications and related add-ons (styles, fonts, etc.) is required to prepare TeX/LaTeX documents.
LaTeX most popular set of macrodactylini (the macro package) of the computer typesetting system TeX, which makes it easier to set complex documents. The package allows you to automate many of the tasks of typing and preparation of articles, besides the basic set, there are many expansion packs (thanks to the system’s capabilities is virtually unlimited).
MiKTeX Console — a specialized C++ / QT GUI application integrated package Manager to automatically install the missing applications and components, as well as keeping them up to date.
Before you use MiKTeX , you must complete the configuration, you can use the graphical MiKTeX Console or the command line (miktexsetup). You can install the Toolbox only for one user or for all users (system-wide), this requires administrator rights (root).
MiKTeX comes with the editor TeXworks, for downloaded executable files, specify the directory (directories), when you first start you can just install the missing TeX/LaTeX utilities, in the mode of minimal (selective) and full installation (~200MB).
