LaTeXila (GNOME LaTeX)

LaTeXila (GNOME LaTeX) — multilingual Vala / GTK (GNOME) editor combines the various tools for handling LaTeX documents.

LaTeX is a popular set of macrodactylini (the macro package) of the computer typesetting system TeX, which makes it easier to set complex documents. The package allows you to automate many of the tasks of typing and preparation of articles, besides the basic set, there are many expansion packs (thanks to the system’s capabilities is virtually unlimited).

System for creating documents in LaTeX is based on commands that do not depend on the used editor. LaTeXila provides the whole set of necessary tools to save power when writing the document.

LaTeXila is partly customizable user interface (to disable the toolbar)for user convenience a set of six templates (blank document, article, report, book, letter and presentation), you can create your own templates.

Functionality to help you edit documents accessed from the buttons on the toolbars and/or menu bar. LaTeXila for commands LaTeX supports the autocomplete feature, which is activated when you start typing.

For editor window you can change the theme (there are ten ready themes, dark and light), set the font and font size, zoom supported, there is support for partition alignment, lists, environment, links, tables and much more… the Basic format preserving the TEX (*tex), “optional(when you install latex2rtf) supported export to format RTF (*.rtf) and PDF (Portable Document Format).

LaTeXila supports the insertion of mathematical functions and a spell checker (uses gspell), there is search, search and replace forward search, the transition to the string. Supported repeat/return of changes made (Undo/Redo), to control using mouse and/or keyboard shortcuts.
