KOReader — lightweight C++ / SDL graphical application for reading electronic books and view documents in various formats (ebook reader / document viewer).

Originally KOReader is designed for use on electronic reading devices (such as Cervantes, Kindle, Kobo, PocketBook, reMarkable, etc.), technology-based simulation of conventional printing on paper, E-ink (electronic paper / electronic paper), but further application has been adapted for other devices and operating systems.

KOReader provides a strict and minimalist interface design that is ideal for users who prefer to read the text without distracting controls and menus.

KOReader comes with a large set of functions required for applications reading e-books and additional application functionality can be extended with plugins.

Configure KOReader allow you to set all the font settings, line spacing, text style and word wrap, the distance from fields and other parameters to best suit the personal details of the user.

KOReader provides the ability to view the contents of the book, rapidly jump to the desired page, add the page to bookmark, look up words in the text books, turn pages automatically after a preset time interval, and so on. You can download dictionaries in different languages to find the meaning of unknown words, the meaning of the underlined words (phrases) you can look in Wikipedia (Wikipedia) and translate in Google Translate.

KOReader supports most popular ebook formats such as PDF, DjVu, XPS, CBZ, FB2, PDB, TXT, HTML, RTF, CHM, EPUB, , DOC, MOBI and others, including books in ZIP archives. For each book/document you can view detailed information (metadata), as well as information on using the app (open the history books).

KOReader can connect to the server Calibre (organizer for electronic books with lots of possibilities) to browse your library and download e-books, sync your notes to Evernote (service to sync notes, task lists, web pages and many other types of information) and other cloud storage (FTP, Dropbox, etc).
