Install CentOS 8
In one weekend was extremely boring, and to entertain myself, I usually do different things that previously did not, for example, to install a new Linux distribution. And that’s what I want to share with you.
To start is to tell what kind of CentOS. It’s pretty well-known distro from Red Hat Enterprise Linux. It is worth noting that RHEL – OS commercial, but you still can install and use at your pleasure, though without support, updates and other important things.
CentOS – funded community-based source code Red Hat, so try it definitely worth it, especially the developers rumored to be going to correct this situation and create a product that will be constantly updated. By the way, this OS will be used primarily for servers. Now let’s consider step by step how to install CentOS 8.
System requirements
Minimum:
- CPU — 1 GHz;
- RAM — 512 MB;
- Disk — 10 GB;
Recommended:
- CPU — 2 GHz;
- RAM — 4 GB;
- Disk — 20 GB.
As you can see, the system requirements are centos 8 is not large. It’s quite taxing on the system, so you can install it on almost any device. Hard drive you can take even of the past Millennium.
