AstroMenace – galactic shooter for Linux

Every person who grew up on “Star wars” for once in my life wanted to feel like a pilot of a spaceship, destroying planets and their systems. In reality, exercise is, of course difficult, but in a computer game – please. Present to you the heroic star Saga AstroMenace, in which plenty of everything: aliens, raiders, greedy pirates, and there are plenty of weapons to destroy all of these “worthless items”. Each enemy type has its advantages and disadvantages, but it is always dangerous for you. All in the game 100 types of enemies – they all have 22 special craft.

Before each game you need to choose your desired level of difficulty. In AstroMenace complexity is a mathematical value expressed as a percentage. The degree of difficulty of the game in any way determines how much experience is given one player.

Weapons in AstroMenace

AstroMenace is allowed to perform various operations with the weapon, namely to buy, give, customize “under itself” and to sell on the market. Each weapon has a certain level, which is a number from 1 to 5. Performing manipulation with a weapon, be aware of one rule: the level of the slot should be the same or exceed the level of the weapon.

The developers of AstroMenace offer the player a choice of many kinds of weapons: missiles, attack missiles, torpedoes, nuclear bombs, lasers and masers. Fights are sure to be exciting – only have time to shoot! The enemy is mumble, and he can find a couple of pranks for you.

Game modes

In the game AstroMenace to clearly distinguish two modes: arcade and something similar on the simulator. I wonder what missiles and bullets, which released the player to live like themselves – spontaneously striking “any” the goal with random precision. A little disappointing that the accuracy of each player depends not on him, but from the equipment that is installed on the ship (the guidance system and sensors).
